Who Supports Your Candidate?

Because of campaign financing rules, we can determine which employers’ employees are donating to which candidates. So, who is donating to your favorite candidate? The full article and research on this can be found here, but here is a quick look at the numbers:

What amazes me is the number of government employees supporting small-government Ron! The Army, Navy, Air Force, Postal Service, and Department of Defense are all in the top 14 employers with employees contributing to Ron! Notice their absence on the other candidates’ lists. Who cares for the troops more than the man who wants to bring them home to their families alive!?!?!

I noticed that google and apple are on the list for Ron Paul too. Ron Paul is against government regulation of the internet.

Government regulation of the internet is such a ridiculous notion. Child porn is the most often cited example for the need to regulate the internet and yet it is nothing more than an excuse for the government to gain control of this medium of communication.
Child porn is already illegal, it is already “regulated”. Consider this, if I commit murder on video and then upload it to YouTube, I have broken the law. The law I broke was murder, not the posting of that video on YouTube. We do not need to regulate the internet to prevent murderers from posting their videos, we need to prosecute murderers. Likewise, we do not need to regulate the internet to prevent pornographers from uploading their videos, we need to prosecute child molesting pornographers.
It is similar to gun laws. We do not need to regulate the guns, we need to prosecute the criminals who use them.
Probably preaching to the choir here, but you got me fired up!
