The Myth of Neutrality Exposed!

Posted by bounddragon on 17th May 2007

Michelle Malkin’s video podcast on the brutal murder of a white couple (Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome) by five blacks reveals something about the mainstream media.

It reveals what presuppositional apologists have been saying for a long time, neutrality is a myth!  It is not found in education, science, math, history, and especially not the media!

“In the very act of selecting the stories to cover, the books to publish and review, the film and music to air, and the art to exhibit, these institutions effectively define what topics are important and which issues are relevant—worthy of public consideration. Moreover, in the substance of the stories covered, books published and reviewed, art exhibited, and so on, the mass media act as a filter through which our perceptions of the world around us take shape. Thus, by virtue of the decisions made by those who control the mass media—seemingly innocuous decisions made day to day and year to year—those who work within these institutions cumulatively wield enormous power.”  (James Davison Hunter, Culture Wars: The Struggle to Define America, pg. 225.)

What is a Strong President?

Posted by bounddragon on 17th May 2007

Ron Paul answers this question quite succinctly:

“We should have a strong president, strong enough to resist the temptation of taking power that a president shouldn’t have.”

Ron Paul on Abortion

Posted by bounddragon on 17th May 2007

Alan Colmes confronts on Congressman and Presidential Candidate Ron Paul (R-TX) on his abortion stance.  Since this cannot be found on his candidacy website, this may be one of the easiest places to understand what he has to say.

Also, if you continue watching, you can see him stand up to Sean Hannity on the war issue.

TULIP — An Interpretive Grid?

Posted by bounddragon on 17th May 2007

Bentok has an interesting post at Orthodox Deviation wherein he combats the use of TULIP as an interpretive grid.  In the post he does a fine job of bringing the status of covenant children into perspective.
